Network Members & Responsibilities

As a committed member or partner within the SelfMade Health Network, you have pledged to take an active role in advancing our mission and to join groups around the country to make a difference.

In general, Network Core Member organizations agree to:

  • Learn about the mission, target audience and goals of the SelfMade Health Network
  • Connect SelfMade Health Network with the appropriate staff within member’s organization that will be engaged in activities (may be more than one)
  • Subscribe to social, email or web-based tools to stay up to date with SelfMade Health Network updates and to share with member’s audience
  • Report and Log all activities or campaigns in support of SelfMade Health Network mission
  • Share member activities for listing in SelfMade Health Network membership news materials
  • Engage and participate in developing membership strategic plans and policy priorities
  • Share local community tobacco-related or cancer prevention news with SelfMade Health Network staff as appropriate
  • Learn about and engage with other SelfMade Health Network core members
  • Proudly display SelfMade Health Network membership status on public materials, as appropriate
  • Participate in semi-annual membership assessments (via email) and quarterly network conference calls, as scheduled
  • Other actions as necessary to help ensure a seamless progression from the development and delivery of evidence-based interventions to community translation and eliminate tobacco and cancer health disparities
