SelfMade Health Network (SMHN)-Tennessee Multi-Regional Community Engagement and Outreach Plan (Breast Cancer Prevention and Survivorship)

Please note: This comprehensive plan is available to SMHN national network members, state and county government agencies, academic institutions, coalitions, non-profit organizations, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, businesses and all companies nationwide.

The SMHN Tennessee Multi-Regional Community Engagement and Outreach Plan (Breast Cancer Prevention and Survivorship) is a multi-purpose resource that provides organizations with practical steps, resources and lessons learned from multiple organizations working collaboratively to address breast cancer disparities among African-American (Black) women and low-income women residing in rural and metropolitan areas. Results originated from the planning, development and implementation of the SMHN Tennessee Multi-Regional Community Engagement and Outreach Plan (Breast Cancer Prevention and Survivorship) were featured at a national conference listed below.

A newly released social media toolkit: Emerging Issues in Commercial Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation developed as the result of a collaboration between George Washington University (GW) Cancer Center and the consortium of 8 national organizations funded by the CDC to advance the prevention of commercial tobacco use and cancer in populations experiencing tobacco- and cancer-related health disparities.
